Remember the anoyying clippy in the old versions of Microsoft Office? Well, its back!!! Don’t worry, no clippy in Office 2010. But even better. How would you like to have clippy give you “helpful” advice on your own Windows desktop?

Ok, actually this is a fun prank you can do on your friends. When you run the program, clippy appears after 1 minute on your desktop and tells you useless stuff like:

It appears you are connected to the Internet.

Your productivity has been decreasing lately. I hope everything is ok.

And there is no way you can shut him off. (Well, there is. More on that later).

Clippy appears every minute and picks a random saying from clippy.txt. So, the good thing is, you can edit the text file and make clippy say whatever you want!! You can even make Clippy ask “Yes” or “No” questions.

To make clippy say custom things, create a text file called clippy.txt at the same directory as clippy.exe. Write down things you want clippy to say followed by a new line.

There are also several command line instructions for clippy. the basic syntax is as follows:

clippy.exe [seconds to delay] [norandom]

seconds to delay: Number of seconds it takes for clippy to reappear. Default 60

norandom: Optional, turns off random feature and just reads the clippy.txt file from top to bottom.

Now, about how to close it:

Move yout mouse to the top left corner of your screen, and the program will display a message box, and then it will exit.

Asus GTX 295 Mars limited edition graphics card tears through Crysis

Asus unveiled their custom, limited edition GeForce GTX 295 Mars card at Computex last week. Sporting two GTX 285 GPUs, this is officially the fastest desktop graphics card ever built. Like the original GTX 295, the card still looks like a VHS tape (albiet an awesome one) but it also supports quad-SLI, so essentially you can have four GTX 285s in the same system. It has the same clock speeds as the GTX 285 (648 core, 1476 shader, 2400 MHz memory) and has 4GB of cloned RAM (2GB accessable per GPU). Asus will produce only 1000 of these cards. Madness.
